Afterschool
up to 5:45 PM, options available five days a week
From creative arts and sports to Hebrew homework help, Schechter’s Afterschool Program offers a warm, supervised space where students can continue learning and playing with friends.
Families can choose flexible days that work best for them, and programs vary by age group—so whether your child wants to try chess, drama, or just relax with a book, there’s something for everyone.
Libraries
3 libraries hold 18,000 books in both English and Hebrew
Schechter’s campus includes three fully-equipped libraries, home to over 18,000 books in both English and Hebrew. Our collection supports classroom learning, reflects student interests, and includes a wide range of resources for parents—from child development to Jewish life.
Younger students (Pre-K–Grade 3) visit the library weekly for stories, book borrowing, and hands-on activities —helping them build reading habits and confidence early on. Older students use the library for research, projects, and book exploration connected to their classwork and passions.
Events
A great way to get to build a larger community
Whether you’re coming to sing with your kindergartener, attend an open house, or cheer on a student showcase, you’ll find events that are joyful, welcoming, and rooted in what matters most: relationships and growth.
Sunday Soccer
Weekend fun for Pre-K to Grade 2
Schechter’s weekend soccer program is open to students in Pre-K through Grade 2 and runs on Sundays during the fall and spring seasons. It’s a low-pressure, high-energy way for kids to stay active, learn the game, and have fun with friends.
Sessions are held on our Newton campus field. Families are welcome to stay and cheer from the sidelines.
