Admissions Coordinator

Position Overview:

As we prepare to expand our Early Childhood Center by 50% for Fall 2026, Schechter Boston seeks a dynamic, self-starting Admissions Coordinator to help shape and execute a strategic enrollment plan. This individual will play a critical role in managing the admissions pipeline, engaging prospective families, and refining communications to align with our vision for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead prospective family engagement through outreach, tours, and personalized follow-up.

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to increase early childhood enrollment.

  • Manage the admissions pipeline, tracking inquiries, applications, and enrollments.

  • Coordinate events such as open houses, information sessions, and parent meet-ups.

  • Build relationships with synagogues and community organizations to increase visibility and referrals and increase Schechter’s early childhood presence in the community

  • Support new families with onboarding and community-building initiatives, including buddy family programs and parent engagement opportunities.

  • Assist in developing admission marketing materials and refining the school’s messaging around early childhood growth.

  • Evaluate future opportunities to expand Schechter’s early childhood presence outside its current physical footprint

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in admissions, marketing, or a related field (preferably in early childhood or education).

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet enrollment goals.

  • Experience with CRM systems and data management (Blackbaud experience a plus).

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and recruitment/retention best practices.

  • Personal warmth and ability to connect with a diverse range of children, parents, faculty, and staff.

  • Strong customer service mindset with a passion for building relationships and fostering community.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong project management skills.

  • Familiarity with Jewish day schools and/or Jewish communal life is a plus.

  • Existing relationships or capacity to develop new relationships with other early childhood programs.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: $65k – $80k, commensurate with experience.

  • This is a 12-month position.
